ICE STATION SKATING SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY: At Ice Station, we are committed to providing each and every skater with the most courteous attention and service possible. We will teach our Skating Academy skaters the basic skills of each level in accordance with the standards of the Ice Skating Institute. Our main goal is for every skater to correctly learn all the skills introduced in a level before advancing to the next level. Our professional instructors will motivate skaters to improve their abilities while offering a challenging, yet fun curriculum. We will continually strive to improve our programs for our most valuable asset - our skaters.

Cost for 30 minute Figure Skating and Hockey classes: $150.00 for 10 weeks
Cost for 30 Minute Off Ice Classes: $150.00 for 10 weeks
Cost for 60 Minute Hockey ClinicClasses: $200 for 10 Weeks
Cost for 45 Minute Synchronized Skating Classes: $187.50 for 10 weeks
Annual Registration fee: $15.00 per year per student
All Classes Payable at the Beginning of Each Semester.

Registration accepted in the office, by fax, or mail. Payment required in full at time of registration. Registration taken up to the 4th week of a semester.
Classes will fill quickly, registration is taken on a first come, first served basis.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
My Tot & Me Introduction to skating in a fun environment for the tiny skater. Skaters learn to feel comfortable on the ice with a parent or friend by their side. Fun atmosphere will include games, songs and positive reinforcement.
Ice Babies For beginning skaters or those who have completed the My Tot & Me class. Emphasis on fun! Games, positive reinforcement and songs are used to teach skaters the proper way to fall and get up, marching in place, marching while moving and two-foot glides.
Ice Tots For skaters who have completed Ice Babies or beginning skaters ages 3 to 5. Focus on fun! Games and positive reinforcement are used to teach marching, two-foot glides, beginning forward swizzles, backward wiggles and snowplow stops.
Tot Stars For skaters who have completed Ice Tots. Games and positive reinforcement are used to teach beginning forward stroking, two-foot jumps, forward and backward swizzles, beginning one-foot glides and more.
Pre Alpha 1: Designed for the beginner skater. Skaters will learn basic forward and backward skating, forward and backward swizzles, two-foot glides, beginning one-foot glides and snowplow stops.
Pre Alpha 2: Designed for skaters who have passed Pre Alpha 1 or Tot Stars. Focus is on refining Pre Alpha skills and introducing skaters to Alpha skills.
Alpha 1 Designed for skaters who have passed Pre Alpha 1 or Tot Stars. Focus is on refining Pre Alpha skills and introducing skaters to Alpha skills.
Alpha 2 Continuation of the Alpha 1 class designed to teach mastery of forward crossovers and introduce skaters to Beta skills.
Beta 1 For skaters who have passed Alpha. Skaters will learn backward stroking, backward crossovers and T-stops.
Beta 2 Continuation of the Beta 1 class designed to teach mastery of backward crossovers and introduce skaters to Gamma/Delta skills.
Gamma/Delta For skaters who have passed Beta. This class will focus on edges, three-turns and mohawks. Skaters will be introduced to freestyle maneuvers.
Freestyle Low For skaters who have passed Gamma/Delta. Skaters will learn forward pivots, backward edges, spirals, ballet jumps, one-foot spins, back spins, waltz jumps, a variety of one-half jumps and additional artistic maneuvers.
Freestyle High For skaters who have passed Freestyle Low. Skaters will learn backward pivots, Salchow jumps, a variety of single jumps, change-foot spins, one-half loop jumps, backward spirals and additional artistic maneuvers. Currently not offered.

Power

A continuation of the introduction to power class. For skaters at or above the Beta 2 level who are able to do forward and backward crossovers well. Skaters will increase stamina and build endurance in this class.

Choreography:
Music, Moves & Style!

Designed for skaters at or above the Beta 2 level. This class will focus on artistic maneuvers and choreography.

Youth Hockey Clinic

60 minute class for the experienced youth hockey player. Develop individual hockey skills, such as, stickhandling, shooting, skating & passing. $200 for 10 weeks.
Theatre on Ice: Group Show Program. Includes 10 Rehearsals plus dress rehearsal. All levels of skaters Welcome.
